CAF to Increase Investment in Competitions and Infrastructure – Kurt Okraku

Second Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has reaffirmed the commitment of CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe to significantly invest in CAF competitions and football infrastructure across the African continent.

Mr. Okraku made the disclosure during an exclusive interview with Micheal Kofi Oduro on Metro TV, where he highlighted the CAF President’s vision of strengthening African football through increased financial support and long-term development initiatives.

According to the CAF 2nd Vice President, Dr. Motsepe remains focused on ensuring that CAF competitions become more competitive, attractive, and financially sustainable, while also improving facilities that support football development at all levels.

He noted that infrastructure development is a key pillar of the CAF President’s agenda, with plans aimed at upgrading stadiums, training facilities, and administrative structures across member associations.

Mr. Okraku added that increased investment will not only enhance the quality of competitions but also provide better opportunities for players, clubs, and football administrators throughout Africa.

He stressed that Dr. Motsepe believes strong infrastructure and well-funded competitions are essential to positioning African football on a competitive global stage.

The CAF leadership, he concluded, remains committed to working with member associations and stakeholders to drive sustainable growth and long-term success for football across the continent.
