CAF unveils logo and trophy for CHAN 2024, now rescheduled to August 2025

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the new logo and trophy for the upcoming TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) set to be hosted jointly by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The much-anticipated tournament, which celebrates homegrown football talent from across Africa, promises to be a historic event, marking the first time three countries will co-host the competition.

However, CAF has also announced a significant adjustment to the tournament’s schedule. Initially slated for 2024, the CHAN tournament has been postponed to August 2025.

The decision comes as part of CAF’s efforts to ensure all logistical and infrastructural preparations are completed to deliver a world-class event.

In a statement, CAF emphasized its commitment to maintaining high standards for the championship and expressed confidence that the extended timeline will enable Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda to finalize the necessary arrangements.

The unveiling of the logo and trophy symbolizes progress and CAF’s dedication to elevating African football on the global stage.

Meanwhile, fans and stakeholders are eagerly awaiting one of Africa’s premier football competitions as the draw for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024 will be held by CAF in Nairobi on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 20:00 Nairobi Time.

CAF will make an announcement regarding the precise day in August 2025 that the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024 will begin.
