Cashless era begins at National Service Authority

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced a mandatory transition to a cashless payment system, effective immediately.

This move aligns with the government’s drive to modernize revenue collection and promote a cashless economy.

In a press statement, the NSA stated that all user agencies and stakeholders are directed to make payments, including the 20% and 10% administrative service charges, through the (www.ghana.gov.gh) platform.

This shift to digital payments offers greater transparency, convenience, and accessibility for those working with the NSA.

“The NSA encourages all stakeholders to embrace this new digital payment system for a more convenient and efficient experience, as we collectively support the Government of Ghana in achieving its objective of establishing a cashless economy,” the Director-General of the NSA, Mr. Felix Gyamfi noted.

Payments can be made 24/7 from anywhere in Ghana via www.ghana.gov.gh or by dialing *222# on all mobile networks.

The ghana.gov.gh platform provides a unified digital platform for accessing government services, offering various seamless payment options, including bank cards, mobile money, online banking, QR code, direct transfer, SWIFT transfers, and ACH transfers.

The NSA has emphasized that manual payments to any NSA staff at the district, regional, and headquarters levels are no longer valid. For any inquiries or assistance regarding the new payment procedures, stakeholders can email igf@nss.gov.gh or contact the NSA directly through 0554404422.

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has also implemented a cashless policy, aiming to modernize revenue collection and enhance transparency.
