Ghanaian actress and media personality Joselyn Dumas believes persons like herself in the limelight are often misunderstood.
Speaking to Metro TV at the launch of ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’, Joselyn Dumas applauded her colleague for taking the bold step of writing a book about her life.
“I am so inspired and it takes a lot of courage, brava [bravery] and balls and everything in between to bear it all like she did it the book,” she said.
Joselyn Dumas also intimated that people often misunderstand celebrities saying, “I think Yvonne like all of us, is misunderstood. I say that without prejudice, I say that because a lot of people have their own perception of where people in the limelight are concerned regardless of whether you try to even prove to them that you are not who they think you are, the perception is still there.”
Joselyn Dumas was among several other personalities who thronged the Peduase Valley Resort to support Yvonne Nelson as she launched her book.
I’m Not Yvonne Nelson is a shattering and riveting account of a young woman who sets out to find herself but discovers that she has been living with a false identity.
Authored by Yvonne Nelson, the book walks the reader through the multiple award-winning actress’ saddest moments and successes chalked. She pauses to talk about some mistakes she committed while chasing her dream and sums it up with lessons life taught her.
The book since its release has seized the trending spots on social media with damning revelations about Sarkodie, Iyanya, and former Speaker of Parliament, Peter Ala Adjetey.
