Chief Imam denies Owusu Bempah’s prophecies about him

The Office of the National Chief Imam has debunked some prophecies from the Founder of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev. Dr.Owusu Bempah about the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Usman Nuhu Sharubutu.

According to the Office of the National Chief Imam, Rev. Dr.Owusu Bempah allegedly made some disparaging remarks against His Eminence the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Usman Nuhu Sharubutu.

A statement issued by the Personal Assistant to the National Chief Imam, Dr. Mohammed Marzuq Abubarkar Azindoo on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, disclosed that Rev. Dr.Owusu Bempah mentioned that the National Chief Imam has allegedly come to him for consultation.

“In one of these remarks, Dr.Owusu Bempah alleges that His Eminence and other leaders and other leaders consult him to look into their destinies. “

“He then refers to his earlier false prophecy about His Eminence and asks the following rhetorical questions: Do you know what went on between the Chief Imam and I [sic]? When I was in his bedroom, do you know what went on [sic]?” A portion of the statement read.

Dr. Abubarkar Azindoo reiterated that all claims by Rev. Dr. Owusu Bempah contained no iota of truth but rather represents a figment of his own imagination.

“Undoubtedly, His Eminence is a champion of interfaith harmony and peaceful co-existence. But he does not seek protection and prosperity from charlatans on the pulpit. As a true icon of faith, His Eminence is guided by the divine words that Allah is sufficient for any person who relies on Him (Quran 65:3)” Dr. Abubarkar Azindoo added.

The office of the National Chief Imam also indicated that the photograph attached to the false publication was from an engagement between the Rev. Dr.Owusu Bempah and the National Chief Imam two years ago.

The statement revealed that the photograph was taken when Rev. Dr.Owusu Bempah met with the National Chief Imam to apologise for his false prophecies that threatened national security two years ago.

Dr. Abubarkar Azindoo, therefore, charged the media not to use the photograph as an instrument for further provocation against a personality of personal repute.

“We take this opportunity to advice Editors of Media Houses to refrain from irresponsible journalism. Certainly, Yellow Journalism is no longer a choice in all civilized societies. Precision Journalism, Development Journalism, and Transformative Journalism are not the preferred models.”

“In a world polarized by ideological radicalism and religious extremism, these models have become contributors to the global efforts at finding solutions to the ills of the contemporary society.”  Dr. Abubarkar Azindoo added.

He further called on Rev. Dr. Owusu Bempah to desist from using the name of the National Chief Imam as a subject of his controversial prophecies and also appealed to the leaders of the Christian community, the Inspector General of Police, and the National Security body to call Rev. Dr.Owusu Bempah to order in the interest of national unity, harmony, and peace.

“Conclusively, we stand at all times for interfaith solidarity and national unity as we contribute our quota to the building of a prosperous democratic state of diverse religious communities.” Dr. Abubarkar Azindoo said.
