A Circuit Court has granted bail to self-styled doomsday prophet, Ebo Noah, in the sum of GH¢100,000 with two sureties, one of whom must provide verifiable security in the form of landed property or a vehicle.
The court adjourned the case to March 18, 2026, to allow the prosecution and defence to prepare for further proceedings.
Counsel for the accused, Mr Emmanuel Sarfo, expressed satisfaction with the ruling, describing it as a fair exercise of judicial discretion.
He told journalists after the sitting that the court had acted reasonably in accordance with the law by admitting his client to bail under the stated conditions.
Under the bail terms, the accused is required to produce two sureties to guarantee his appearance in court, with at least one backed by tangible property.
The court cautioned that failure to comply fully with the conditions could lead to the revocation of the bail.
Ebo Noah, born Evans Eshun, was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team.
The case has attracted widespread public interest following the accused’s public claims that he had received a divine revelation predicting a catastrophic flood on December 25, 2025, which he said would end the world.
As part of his claims, the self-proclaimed prophet reportedly constructed a structure he described as an “ark” at his premises, which he said would preserve humanity from the anticipated disaster.
The predicted event, however, did not occur, and the accused later claimed that his prayers had led to a postponement of the supposed catastrophe.
The court is expected to take further action when the case is called again on March 18, 2026.
