The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his re-election as the president of the Republic of Ghana.
In a statement signed by Chairperson and Leader, Comrade Wing Commander Patrick Nelson Sogbodjor, the CPP wished President Mahama “the very best in your tenure.”
The party drew inspiration from President Mahama’s father, Emmanuel Adama Mahama, who served Ghana under the Osagyefo-led CPP government.
“We are also hopeful that you will do same,” the statement read.
“Your success will be the success of all Ghanaians”
The CPP pledged to offer constructive criticism when necessary, while also praising President Mahama “without fail where necessary”.
The party’s message was one of support and cooperation, as they extended their “warmest compliments” to the President.
This congratulatory message from the CPP comes after President Mahama’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.
