Dansoman NHIS branch wins praise for courteous and efficient service

Applicants at the Dansoman branch of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) are commending the staff for what they describe as a remarkable improvement in service delivery.

Many residents who visited the office recently to register or renew their NHIS cards said the process was smooth, well-organized, and refreshingly professional.

“I was impressed by how organized everything was,” said one resident, who completed her renewal faster than expected. “The officers were friendly and patient, especially with the elderly.”

Others shared similar experiences, noting that the branch has become more efficient in handling the large number of people who visit daily. They pointed to better coordination, shorter waiting times, and courteous staff as signs of real progress.

Branch officials said the positive feedback reflects the results of new customer service measures and the ongoing digitalization drive within the NHIS. The aim, they explained, is to make the registration and renewal process faster, simpler, and more transparent.

Mr. George Hammond, the Management Information Systems Officer for the Ablekuma Districts, which include Ablekuma North, South, Central, and West, praised his team for their dedication. He noted that queues often start as early as 6:30 a.m. and last until late afternoon, yet staff continue to serve with patience and commitment.

“We are here because of the citizens and we must deliver as expected of us,” he said. “Despite a few challenges, we are working to enhance service delivery and are ever ready to serve Mother Ghana.”

The Dansoman NHIS branch has become known for setting a strong example in customer care, reflecting the scheme’s wider efforts to strengthen public confidence in Ghana’s health insurance system.
