The Deputy Minister for Transport and MP for Jomoro lawmaker, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has commended the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) for reaching 40 years of service, describing the milestone as a testament to “four decades of excellence, resilience, safety, and dedicated service” to the people of Ghana.
Madam Affo-Toffey was speaking at the grand finale dinner organised to climax the Authority’s month-long 40th anniversary celebrations, which brought together stakeholders from the aviation industry, government officials, development partners, invited guests, current and retired staff of GCAA, and other dignitaries.
She said it was an honour to join the Authority in celebrating the anniversary, noting that it reflected the Ministry of Transport’s continued dedication to the aviation sector.
“As part of the Ministry of Transport’s continued dedication to Ghana’s aviation sector, it was a great honour to join the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority in celebrating its 40th Anniversary.”
The Deputy Transport Minister added that the anniversary also highlighted GCAA’s immense contribution to national development and its steadfast efforts to advance Ghana’s aviation industry.
“We proudly celebrate the Authority’s immense contribution to national development and its steadfast pursuit of advancing Ghana’s aviation industry.”
Madam Affo-Toffey called for continued collaboration, innovation, and commitment to aviation safety in Ghana.
The Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, and other key personalities attended the ceremony.
