Boxing Expert, Radio Rahim, has praised the unwavering determination of Ghanaian fighters.
In an interview on Original Sports Update with King Kaninja on Monday, June 16, he noted that their faith-driven effort and passion, despite limited access to world-class facilities or financial backing, set them apart in the boxing world.
He described the boxing event at Bukom Arena over the weekend as more than just a fight night, highlighting the electric atmosphere outside the ring and the layered experience that defines boxing in Ghana.
What he witnessed in March, he said, compelled him to return in June, reinforcing his belief that Ghana is fast becoming a hub for boxing excellence.
He acknowledged the presence of heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua at the event as a strong signal of international interest in Ghana’s boxing scene.
To him, the spirit of the sport—resilience, survival, and self-belief is deeply rooted in the Ghanaian experience.
