Dr. Bawumia unveils CitizenApp to enhance public services

In order to enhance public service delivery and citizen involvement in Accra, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has introduced the CitizenApp, a ground-breaking mobile application.

The goal of the CitizenApp is to offer a single point of contact for all government services, problem-reporting, and real-time news on public affairs.

All Ghanaians will be able to use a personalized platform that will improve their access to a range of government services and instantly provide them with vital information. The app is anticipated to improve efficiency and transparency in government operations by streamlining communications between individuals and agencies.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized how the app may improve accountability and transparency in government operations while streamlining procedures and cutting down on bureaucracy.

“What Ghana has done many advanced countries have not yet done it. So we are moving in a direction that has major opportunities…Once the system comes in doing business in Ghana will be very easy and smooth, paying taxes will be very easy, getting your passport, will be very easy, registering a business is very easy.”

“It is going to make life easier for the citizens and this system also allows the government to communicate with the citizens. This is an exciting development in our digitalisation journey,” he stated.
