Dr. Ralph Nyadu-Addo is not just an academic; he is a bridge between ideas and impact, a visionary leader whose work spans continents, disciplines, and generations.
Recently honoured with Germany’s highest civilian award, the Federal Cross of Merit, Dr. Nyadu-Addo has dedicated over three decades to advancing entrepreneurship, small business development, creative arts, and strategic management.
A Senior Lecturer and consultant at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), he has shaped the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs in Ghana and beyond. As the former Head of the Department of Publishing Studies, and the pioneering force behind the Industrial and Professional Relations (IPR) Office, the Centre for Business Development (CBD), and the Kumasi Business Incubator (KBI), he has transformed visionary concepts into fully operational institutions that continue to nurture talent and drive economic growth.
Dr. Nyadu-Addo has advised three successive Vice-Chancellors at KNUST, providing strategic guidance on business development, industry partnerships, and entrepreneurship promotion. His influence extends internationally; he has worked with corporate firms in Europe and Ghana, trained and coached across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America, and was commissioned by the French Foreign Ministry to assist eleven Francophone African nations in building capacity for industry-academia collaboration.
His fundraising prowess is legendary. He has mobilised over USD 18.6 million for KNUST projects, including the Jubilee Shopping Mall, CBD, and KBI facilities, and spearheaded initiatives such as Intelligence for Innovation (iN4iN), the African German Entrepreneurship Academy (AGEA), and the African Centre for Career Enhancement & Skills Support (ACCESS) Project, raising millions to enhance graduate employability across Africa.
Dr. Nyadu-Addo’s accolades reflect his extraordinary contributions: the Federal Cross of Merit (Germany, 2025), North-Rhine-Westphalia Parliamentary President’s Award (2024), the German Ambassador’s Award (2013), and KNUST’s Best Senior Member for Service and Innovation (2016).
Holding degrees in Publishing/Print Management, an MBA in Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and a PhD in Business of Creative Arts from Germany, Dr. Nyadu-Addo embodies versatility. He is a social entrepreneur, motivational speaker, coach, event organiser, fundraiser, publisher, and print media expert—a change leader whose vision continues to shape Ghana, Africa, and the world.
