The Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, says DSTV has proposed to reduce subscription fees following government’s intervention.
Mr George revealed the development during the Digital Africa Summit on Wednesday, September 3. He assured Ghanaians that the government is monitoring the matter closely and will make an official statement soon
“No company is bigger than the people of Ghana,” he said, emphasizing that consumer interests remain a top priority.
The minister explained that the proposed price adjustment follows concerns about rising subscription costs.
He added that the government’s focus is to ensure fair pricing and protect citizens in the digital economy.
