The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has introduced extended working hours at selected offices nationwide in a move aimed at making its services more accessible and convenient for the public.
In a Facebook update on Thursday, May 14, the Authority announced that the affected offices will now operate from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, Monday to Friday, giving motorists and drivers more time to access key services such as vehicle registration, licensing, and renewals.
The DVLA says the new schedule is designed to ease pressure on busy branches, especially in major cities where demand for services remains high.
Offices included in the expanded arrangement cover several regional capitals and key districts. These include the Prestige Centre Head Office, Nahrman Office, and Weija Office in Accra, as well as branches in Tema, Kumasi, and Tarkwa.
Other offices operating under the extended hours are located in Bolgatanga, Wa, Tamale, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Koforidua, Sunyani, Ho, Techiman, and Winneba.
The Authority believes the longer working hours will improve customer experience and reduce congestion at DVLA offices across the country.
