The Member of Parliament for Ketu South and former Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Dzifa Gomashie, has clarified reports suggesting she personally benefited from GH¢90,000 she received from the National Lottery Authority (NLA).

According to her, the money was obtained under the NLA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fund and was fully spent on the rehabilitation of the Anoenu CHPS compound in her constituency.

“That was exactly what I used the money for; not a dime was spent by me. So, it is ridiculous for anyone to say that I will take state money and spend it for myself,” Madam Gomashie told journalists during a visit to the renovated health facility.

She explained that the funds were used to remodel the facility, provide extra rooms, install a borehole, and supply medical equipment and sanitary pads to improve healthcare delivery, especially for women and children.

“It was a one-room facility when I first visited. Today, it is a well-equipped, locally-based health center serving the needs of the people,” she added.

Madam Gomashie reaffirmed her commitment to transparent leadership and community development, emphasizing that every cedi received from the state was accounted for and used for the benefit of her constituents.
