The Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, has commissioned 11 development projects in the Birim Central Municipality aimed at improving access to education, healthcare and clean water.
The projects, funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund, include a three unit classroom block at Frimpong Manso JHS, an L shaped kindergarten block at SDA, a health centre at Community 6, an operating theatre attached to the maternity block at the Oda Government Hospital, a CHPS compound at Yeboahkrom and six boreholes in Yeboahkrom, Essam, Larbikrom, Aseneye, Oda Zongo and Metcoe.
Speaking at a ceremony in Oda on Tuesday, Mrs Awatey said the government remained committed to delivering development projects that directly improve the lives of people in communities.
She said attention was being given to completing stalled projects inherited from previous administrations while introducing new initiatives across the Eastern Region.

The Krontihene of the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, Obrempong Dr. Gyamfi Saforokyere II, praised the Birim Central Municipal Assembly for ongoing infrastructure development in the area.
He also commended the Municipal Chief Executive, Solomon Brako Kusi, for involving traditional leaders in decision making and responding to concerns raised by residents and chiefs.
The traditional authorities, he said, would continue to support initiatives aimed at promoting development in Birim Central.
