The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a series of planned maintenance exercises across several regions beginning Monday, February 16, 2026. The power distributor says the exercise is part of efforts to improve service delivery and strengthen its electricity network.
According to ECG, the scheduled works will affect parts of the Tema, Greater Accra, Accra East and Central regions. Residents and businesses in the listed communities should expect temporary power outages while engineers carry out the maintenance.
In the Tema Region, ECG stated it “will undertake planned maintenance works to improve service delivery,” with outages expected between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. The first exercise, scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, will affect Community 16, 17 and 24, Sydal Farms, Adjel Kodjo, Japan City, Global, Teteman, Baatsonaa (Total and Cluster of Schools), Resolve Hospital, Timber Market, Bakeshop, Marina Mall and surrounding areas.
On Wednesday, February 18, another maintenance exercise in Tema will impact FOS Aluminium, Kakalika Plaza, Shell Signboard, Kpogas and nearby communities. ECG has advised customers in these areas to make necessary arrangements ahead of the planned outage period.
A third maintenance notice for Thursday, February 19, lists Lashibi, Emef Estates, High Tension, Celebrity Golf Club, Jotafa, Sakumono (Village and Estates) and surrounding areas as the affected zones. Businesses operating within these communities are encouraged to take precautionary measures to minimise disruption.
ECG apologised for the inconvenience the planned maintenance may cause and assured customers that the exercise is necessary to enhance reliable power supply.
