The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is set to embark on a nationwide revenue mobilization exercise from June 16 to June 27, 2025, aimed at recovering unpaid bills from customers.
The power supply company in a statement signed by Dr. Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, General Manager for External Communications, said special monitoring teams will be deployed to ensure compliance during the exercise.
“Any attempt to interfere with the process or illegally reconnect power after disconnection will attract legal consequences,” Dr. Ayiku warned.
The exercise also presents an opportunity for ECG to assess the integrity of its meters and engage with customers to address their concerns.
“Customers in arrears are strongly encouraged to settle their outstanding balances promptly to avoid disconnection and additional reconnection charges,” Dr. Ayiku advised.
ECG is encouraging customers to use digital payment platforms, including its mobile app, for convenient transactions. Customers can also contact ECG’s call center on 0302611611 or reach out via social media for support or inquiries.
The revenue mobilization drive is part of ECG’s efforts to maintain financial stability and enhance the quality of electricity service delivery nationwide.
