Edem Agbana calls for calm after gruesome murder in Ketu North

Member of Parliament for Ketu North Constituency, Eric Edem Agbana, has condemned the murder of Mr. Carson Fogah Ladzekpo, a respected elder and retired seafarer, in Tadzewu.

The police have arrested a Fulani herdsman in connection with the crime, and investigations are ongoing.

In a statement, Edem Agbana noted that “I have engaged with the police and other security agencies, and I urged them to work diligently to bring the perpetrators to face the full rigours of the law.”

The Ketu North MP has called on the community to remain calm and allow the security agencies to handle the case.

“We must neither take the law into our own hands nor allow this unfortunate tragedy to disturb the peace and security of our beloved community,” he emphasized.

An emergency Municipal Security Committee (MUSEC) meeting will be held to discuss regulating the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the municipality.

Edem Agbana urged the community to await the outcome of the investigations and allow justice to take its course.

“I extend my deepest sympathies to the immediate family of Mr. Ladzekpo and the entire Ketu North Constituency,” the MP added, describing the incident as “horrific” and “atrocious.”
