President John Dramani Mahama has stressed that education is the key to unlocking opportunities for all Ghanaians, regardless of their background or location.
Speaking at the swearing-in of the National Education Forum in Acra on Tuesday, February 18, President Mahama indicated that education “must inspire hope and deliver opportunity for all,” underscoring the fundamental role that quality education plays in promoting social mobility and fostering equality.
From the bustling streets of Accra to the most remote rural areas, Mahama insisted that the education system must serve the entire country, ensuring that no child is left behind due to where they are born or live.
As he officially opened the forum, Mahama reiterated his commitment to addressing the gaps that still exist within the education system, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
“Every Ghanaian child, regardless of their background, deserves access to the same quality of education,” he said, highlighting the importance of building a system that provides equal opportunities to all students.
He also stressed the need for a strong partnership between government, parents, educators, and local communities to ensure that this vision becomes a reality.
