A Ghanaian media company, Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) Network, has cleared its presenter, Serwaa Amihere, of any misconduct following an investigation into a leaked video showing her with a man identified as Henry Fitz.
The video, which went viral on social media, sparked speculation that the media personality was having an amorous relationship with a married man.
EIB Network conducted a private investigation and found no evidence of misconduct by Serwaa Amihere.
“At the end of a thorough and impartial investigation, the committee found no form of misconduct or breaches on the part of Serwaa Amihere in the circulation of the said video,” parts of a statement issued by EIB Network on Friday, July 5 said.
Serwaa Amihere has apologized for the incident, which she said was taken five years ago.
She acknowledged that she had “underestimated her influence and potential” at the time.
The Ghana Police Service has filed charges against three individuals accused of sharing the intimate video.
EIB Network has committed to cooperating with authorities to ensure justice is served.
In a statement, Serwaa Amihere expressed regret for the embarrassment caused to her family, employers, and loved ones.
According to her, she has learned valuable lessons from the experience.
