Election 2024: Bawumia has a clear vision for Ghana, Mahama is a failed leader – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Akufo-Addo has thrown his weight behind Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as a capable and well-prepared leader.

Speaking in Kumasi on Sunday, November 24, the President urged Ghanaians to support Dr. Bawumia’s presidential bid, citing his extensive experience in governance and clear vision for Ghana’s development.

He also took a swipe at former President John Dramani Mahama, labeling him a “failed leader” who does not deserve a second chance at the presidency.

According to President Akufo-Addo, Mahama’s previous term was unsuccessful, and Ghana would be better served with fresh leadership under Dr. Bawumia.

The president emphasized the importance of the Ashanti Region in securing electoral victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and warned against repeating the “mistake” of 2008, when the NPP lost power.

“We have two people who are in the race. One, a failed president, and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” President Akufo-Addo stated, adding that the choice between the two is clear.
