Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Adaklu Constituency, Governs Kwame Agbodza, has cautioned Abetifi MP, Bryan Acheampong, against any attempts to manipulate the 2024 elections.
In a stern message to party loyalists in Adaklu, Agbodza vowed to protect the sanctity of the electoral process, citing the devastating consequences of the 2020 elections, which saw eight lives lost.
He cautioned that any attempts to replicate such violence in 2024 would be met with fierce resistance from the opposition.
“We won’t allow any miscreants in government to threaten peace and security. Bryan Acheampong, don’t try to rig the elections. You’ll fail, just like your hostile takeover of SSNIT hotels.”
Agbodza also cautioned security personnel and others against disrupting the election in the Volta Region, stating they would face self-defense and potentially become victims.
“Crossing into Volta with a malicious mindset? Be prepared for self-defense, and you might become the victim. This is a promise, not a threat.”
Agbodza further expressed confidence in NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama’s victory.
“President Akufo-Addo will hand over to Mahama. Your party has no business holding on to power. We won’t allow a repeat of 2020’s orchestrated murder of eight Ghanaians.”
