Election 2024: Kasoa traditional authorities declare support for Mahama

Traditional authorities of Kasoa have declared support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer John Dramami Mahama, imploring residents to vote for the main opposition party in the December 7 elections.

They made the declaration during a visit of John Mahama to the area as part of his campaign.

Citing the Kasoa interchange and ancillary felicities that have led to massive and rapid development in size and population of the area, the Gyaasehene of the Odupong Traditional Area Nai Gyaasi Amamuo Nimsaa, who spoke on behalf of the council expressed trust in the NDC to develop the area even more.

He called on residents of the area to make the NDC a choice in the upcoming elections in order to witness progress while also pledging the traditional council’s support for the NDC.

Addressing supporters of the NDC, Mahama pledged to offer Kasoa a special attention in his next government.

He also urged constituents to vote for the NDC parliamentary candidate Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunnor, who is contesting the seat for the second time and all other NDC parliamentary candidates to secure a majority in Parliament.

On her part, Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunnor, the Kasoa NDC parliamentary candidate, pledged to address the youth unemployment situation in Kasoa when elected.
