Election 2024: Miracles Aboagye hails EC’s robust systems

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, has commended the Electoral Commission for its efforts in ensuring a secure electoral process in Ghana’s 2024 general elections.

Addressing the media, he highlighted an incident in Kintampo where the EC reportedly issued ballot papers to 15 individuals with portions allocated to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He also confirmed that the culprits involved in this act have been arrested, emphasizing the need to avoid such occurrences in the future.

He urged members of the NPP and all Ghanaians to remain calm and vigilant as the election draws to a close.

He firmly stated that the NDC would not succeed in manipulating the outcome of this election.

The NPP scribe identified one of the individuals implicated in such acts as Joseph Dire, calling for his immediate prosecution.

He warned that anyone involved in similar illegal activities would face arrest and prosecution, stressing that those caught, like Joseph, would bear the consequences alone.

He further addressed an incident in the Atwima Foase area of the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency, where Charles Toko, the son of an NDC youth organizer, was allegedly apprehended with pre-thumb-printed ballot papers.

Dennis Miracles Aboagye questioned how an organizer could allow their child to engage in such unlawful acts, describing it as a deliberate attempt by the NDC to manipulate the election.

According to him, these incidents reveal the NDC’s discomfort and desperation as their strategies fail due to the vigilance of the EC, party agents, and security services.

Miracles Aboagye stressed that these examples demonstrate the NPP’s commitment to providing accurate information, with the details aligning with reports from the EC.

He issued a stern warning to anyone collaborating with the NDC in such illegal activities, reiterating that they would face arrest and prosecution.

He concluded by commending the EC and security services for their diligent work throughout the electoral process.
