Election 2024: NDC vows to empower women, provide credit facilities

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has pledged to prioritize women empowerment and provide access to credit facilities, particularly for female entrepreneurs, if elected in the December 7 general elections.

Ashanti Regional Chairman, Augustus Nana Akwasi Andrews, addressing traders at Bantama Market, emphasized women’s crucial roles in the economy.

According to him, the next NDC government will prioritize women empowerment and provide credit facilities to enhance socio-economic wellbeing and reduce poverty.

He attributed Ghana’s economic challenges to poor NPP governance, citing collapsing businesses, high unemployment, and poverty.

He stated that the current economic hardship under President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia’s administration is not conducive to business growth and hinders access to credit facilities.

He urged electorates to vote out NPP and support NDC’s transformative agenda, focusing on job creation and economic growth.

Bantama NDC parliamentary candidate, Kwadwo Addai Dapaah, rallied market women to support John Mahama, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, and himself for meaningful change.

The campaign trail included a clean-up exercise at Bantama Market.
