The Ghana Police Service has announced that an incident involving a broken seal on one of the electoral material bags in Koforidua has been successfully resolved.
The police stated in a statement that the broken seal was discovered when the bags were removed from the armoury, and it was found that the seal had come off due to the packing and unpacking of the bags.
Fortunately, the contents of the bag were found to be intact, and stakeholders, including the Electoral Commission and representatives of the political parties, witnessed the incident and confirmed that the contents were undisturbed.
The police assured the public that the integrity of the electoral process has not been compromised.
