Residents in parts of Greater Kumasi and surrounding communities are experiencing a power outage today, Friday, February 13, 2026, following a disruption upstream in the electricity network.
Areas affected include Barekese Headworks, Tetrem, Ahenkro, Kodie, Mankranso, Kunsu, and nearby towns.
The Electricity Company of Ghana has assured the public that engineers are on standby to restore power as quickly as possible once the issue is resolved.
In a statement, the company expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their patience during the outage.
