The Black Stars held their opening training session for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sudan on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Eleven players were involved in the training session which focused on passing and shooting drills.
The players include; Mohammed Salisu, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Gideon Mensah, Isaac Afful, Joseph Wallocott, Antoine Semenyo, Frederick Asare, Fatawu Issahaku, Elisha Owusu and Thomas Bradon Asante.
President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku attended the training session, taking time to interact and motivate the players as they gear up for the crucial games.
The remaining squad members are expected to join the team by the close of October 8.
The Black Stars will continue training until October 10, when they’ll host Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium, before traveling to Libya for the reverse fixture at Benina, Libya on October 15.
Meanwhile, Abu Francis of Cercle Brugge and Ibrahim Sadiq of AZ Alkmaar have been handed late call-ups to join the team for the highly anticipated clashes.
