Endurance Grand makes acting debut in upcoming film “The Fisherman”

Ghanaian dance sensation Endurance Grand, widely admired for her electrifying performances, is stepping into a new spotlight, acting.

The celebrated DWP Academy dancer is making her big-screen debut in the much-anticipated film The Fishermen, set to premiere at Silverbird Cinemas on September 19.

Speaking in an interview with Desmond Okraku Danso and Nana Yaa Tanoah Boakye on Metro TV on Wednesday, September 10, Endurance shared her excitement about joining the cast, playing the role of Sasha. She revealed that the experience has been a valuable learning journey that will remain with her for years to come.

Although she had always believed she could act and had been practicing privately, she admitted it took some effort to fully immerse herself in character. When asked if she was open to taking on more roles, her response was clear: “Very ready.”

Directed by Zoey Martinson, The Fisherman brings together a stellar cast including Ricky Adelayitar, William Lamptey, Fred Amugi, and Princess Fathia Nkrumah. The movie explores powerful themes of resilience, community, and the deep connection between people and their environment.
