Even lunatics know NPP has failed — Felix Kwakye Ofosu

Former Deputy Minister for Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has made damming revelations about the poor performance of the administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him, even lunatics in the country know that the administration of President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has lost the very essence of governance.

“The very essence of governance has eluded the current administration following the abysmal performance recorded in the last seven years,” he said.

He made the damming revelations over the weekend while addressing the Western Regional youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at a capacity-building conference organized for the party’s regional youth wing.

The event organized in Ellembelle was under the theme “Effective mobilization for power: the role of a youth organizer”

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who was speaking on the topic “Effective Communication in Youth Mobilization: The Tips and Strategies” descended on the government for failing the people of Ghana

He assured the teaming youth of the NDC, that the prevailing circumstance of hardship in the country would automatically determine the outcome of the 2024 general elections “Hardship would determine the outcome of 2024 general elections,” he emphasized.

Continuing he said “Hardship is the cause of change of governments since history” he observed.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu revealed that the number of Ghanaian youth, who form the nucleus of the productive working bracket, have been deserting their communities and leaving the country in mass droves following the excruciating hardship they are enduring under the current administration. “They do not have hope in the leadership of the country”

He said due to the disastrous performance recorded in government and having been confused about situations, nothing important about governance again lately concerns President Akufo-Addo.

In terms of good governance, he said the NPP members know exactly that they come no where close to the NDC when it comes to performance in and outside government.

According to the former Deputy Minister for Communications, anytime the NDC gets an opportunity to govern, the party would develop and improve all spheres of the country’s economy, and improve governance processes to inspire national development.

Unfortunately, he said, same thing cannot be said about the NPP since what they do basically is to reap the benefits accrued and later destroy everything before leaving office.

To buttress his point, he cited the current state of Ghana’s currency and made damming revelations that the currency has become a laughing stock and the worst-performing currency in the world.

Ghana, he expressed regret, achieved this negative accolade following the assumption of office of President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the display of gross incompetence in the last seven years, he said remains unbearable.

To this end, he challenged the youth of NDC to offer adequate information to the Ghanaian electorates particularly people who are lacking behind in terms of understanding national issues

He, therefore, ruled out the assertion that the NDC and NPP are the same in terms of governance following the aforementioned comparison.

He said anyone comparing the two political parties on grounds of performance is either an NPP member who is disappointed in the current administration or the person is seriously lacking adequate information hence the need to help those people comprehend issues of national affairs with facts.

On his part, the head of the NDC legal team, Lawyer Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo, mesmerized the NDC youth wing on the topic ” Youth mobilization,  law, and political dynamics: the role of an activist”

The legal luminary, took his time to explain the country’s electoral laws, electoral processes, and dangers associated with agents committing themselves without verification and authentication of electoral figures on election day among others.

Any attempt, to do the unthinkable, he warned, would plunge the party into defeat at the polling station level.

Therefore, he appealed to the youth organizers to work in tandem with branch executives to facilitate the timely and cautious collation of results with verifiable figures through vigilant observations at the polling station with effectiveness and efficiency at play at all times.
