Four former Black Stars players, led by former captain Stephen Appiah, on Monday commissioned an astroturf pitch in Pusiga, Upper East Region.
The ceremony was attended by Laryea Kingston, John Paintsil, Agyemang Badu, and Alhaji Abdul Hanan Aludiba, CEO of Buffer Stock Ghana and NPP parliamentary candidate for Pusiga Constituency.
According to sources, Alhaji Aludiba was the brain behind the project, the first of its kind in the area.
The Minister for Youth and Sports, who graced the occasion, touted the achievements of the NPP government, stating that they inherited only three astro turf pitches but have constructed 156 more, an unprecedented feat.
Ghana Gas, the company that constructed the project, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming appreciation from the people.
NPP National Organiser, Nana B, urged the people to vote massively for Alhaji Hanan Aduliba to attract more developmental projects to the area.
