Renowned Nollywood veteran Fabian Adibe has passed away at the age of 82.
The news was confirmed early Wednesday by Seun Oloketuyi, CEO of Best of Nollywood (BON), who announced the actor’s death in a social media post.
“Things Fall Apart actor, Fabian Adibe, is dead. Died 2:30 a.m. this morning,” Oloketuyi wrote.
Adibe was best known for his memorable role in the screen adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, along with several other classics that shaped the early years of Nollywood.
As news of his passing spreads, heartfelt tributes have poured in from fans, industry colleagues, and cultural figures. Many have described him as a “true legend” and praised his lasting impact on Nigerian cinema.
