Fameye recounts terrifying turbulence on Tamale–Accra flight

Ghanaian musician Fameye has opened up about a terrifying flight from Tamale to Accra, describing severe turbulence that left him fearing for his life.

Speaking on 3Music TV’s “Praise ” hitmaker said this was not his first time experiencing turbulence, but it was by far the scariest.

He revealed that passengers were told mid‑flight that the plane was running low on fuel and would divert to Kumasi for a stopover.

Fameye said he was actually comfortable with the decision, since Kumasi was his intended destination. But when the pilot announced that the aircraft was running out of fuel, his anxiety shot through the roof.

Known for often speaking about his fear of flying, Fameye used the story to illustrate a particularly traumatic experience. He described the incident as a terrifying close call that has deepened his ongoing phobia of flying. The flight took place on his journey from Tamale to Accra.
