Family of late Apostle Kwadwo Safo warns public against dealings with son, Kwadwo Safo Jnr

The family of the late Ghanaian innovator, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, Founder and Leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission and the Kantanka Group of Companies, is cautioning the public against conducting any business or funeral-related engagements with his son, Mr. Israel Kwadwo Safo Jnr.

The family, in a statement released through Safo Attorneys @ Law and signed by Dr. Emmanuel Yaw Boakye, clarified that Kwadwo Safo Jnr, also known as Nana Kwadwo Akofena, “has not been authorized to represent the family or act on its behalf in any capacity.”

The family noted that the public should refrain from entering into “any business transactions, financial dealings, or funeral-related arrangements with Mr. Kwadwo Safo Jnr in connection with the affairs, properties, or enterprises of the late Apostle.”

It further emphasized that all legitimate matters relating to the late Apostle’s businesses, properties, and funeral must be handled only through officially designated family representatives and properly constituted committees.

“All matters concerning the businesses, properties, and funeral arrangements of the late Apostle Professor Emeritus Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka must be directed only through the appropriate family representatives and officially constituted committees,” the statement stressed.

The family also assured the public that official communication channels will be announced soon to guide engagements “before, during, and after the funeral of the late Apostle innovator.”

The family further expressed its profound appreciation to the public for “their understanding, support, and cooperation during this period.”

The late Apostle Kwadwo Safo, widely known as the Star of Africa, was revered as a pioneering inventor, industrialist, and religious leader whose contributions to science, technology, and faith have left a lasting legacy in Ghana and beyond.

Apostle Kwadwo Safo died peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

“With profound sorrow and deepest grief, the Safo family and the Kristo Asafo Church announce the peaceful passing of Ghana’s beloved man of God, the greatest technological icon, philanthropist, agriculturalist and industrialist,” the family announced in a statement signed by his daughter and former MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo.

The family described him as a “true genius, a beacon of hope for many, and a father to the fatherless.”
