The Food and Drugs Authority has closed down several unlicensed facilities in the Tema area after a surveillance operation uncovered unsafe conditions and unwholesome products.
The operation, carried out by the FDA’s Enforcement team, targeted businesses operating without the required licenses.
Officials said a number of products found in poor condition were detained to protect public health and safety.
The FDA said it remains committed to ensuring that only safe, properly regulated products reach the market, and warned that enforcement exercises of this nature will continue.
