The McLoi Impact Foundation (MIF) has announced that the upcoming Season 2 of its McLoi Impact Stars (MIS) competition will select Ghana’s representative for the Miss Africa Queen (MAQ) International Finals scheduled for June 2026 in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to the organisers, the foundation has been officially appointed as the National Directors for Ghana for Miss Africa Queen.
This means the female contestant who attains the highest ranking in Season 2 “will earn the right to represent Ghana at the MAQ International Finals in Lagos, June 2026.”
The decision marks a major step for the youth-led initiative, which began in 2025 and has quickly become known for blending leadership development with community impact.
MIS is structured as a competition that goes beyond traditional pageantry, assessing delegates on vision, character, innovation, and social influence.
Season 2 will introduce an enhanced curriculum designed to equip contestants for global visibility, with organisers highlighting new modules in strategic entrepreneurship, policy advocacy, and digital leadership.
However, the spotlight is expected to fall heavily on the young woman who will eventually carry Ghana’s banner in Lagos.
The foundation emphasises that its approach is centred on nurturing leaders rather than typical beauty queens.
Delegates are trained to become “visionaries, not just title holders,” with a strong focus on integrity, public engagement, and sustainable community service.
Season 1 of MIS underscored this model when its finalists delivered impact-driven projects, including a food outreach programme in Ada that distributed more than 500 food packs to vulnerable households.
Applications are currently open to young women aged 17 to 28 from Ghana and across Africa who are eager to compete for the opportunity to represent the country on an international stage.
Organisers describe the programme as “an invitation to join a legacy-in-the-making,” and encourage applicants who possess passion, confidence, and a commitment to social change.
Registration closes on January 10, 2026, with the competition running from February to May 2026. Participation is free, and interested applicants can register via forms.gle/wr4V6iRwPAECkzno8.
