The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) at Peki Fire Station responded swiftly to a road traffic accident that occurred at Asikuma Junction in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region.
According to the Service, a distress call was received reporting the collision, prompting an immediate dispatch of a rescue team led by AstnO Fred Aganu, accompanied by the Acting District Fire Officer, ADO I Godwin Gbedemah.
The accident involved a grey Toyota Noah (registration GX 422-25) and a tipper truck (registration GT 725-19).
Out of a total of nine (9) casualties, the rescue team managed to save four victims, including a minor, who were transported to the Peki Government Hospital by personnel from the National Ambulance Service.
