The Ministry of Works and Housing has received bids from five private entities to partner with the government to complete the 1,506 Saglemi Affordable Housing Units.
The bids were submitted to the Technical Working Group on the Saglemi Housing project on July 8, 2024, as stipulated in the project Request for Proposal (RFP) issued on April 17, 2024.
According to the Ministry, an independent evaluation entity will be appointed to evaluate the bids and advise on the most favourable bid.
In a statement available to Metro TV, the Minister for Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, assured that the Ministry will publish all bids received and the evaluation report in accordance with the proactive disclosure sections of the Right to Information Act.
The Saglemi Housing Project, once completed, will provide affordable housing units for Ghanaians, contributing to bridging the country’s housing deficit.
The processes to select and contract a developer are expected to be completed by August 30, 2024.
