HE IS THE GA MANTSE AND PRESIDENT OF GA TRADITIONAL COUNCIL REAFFIRMED-GA QUEEN MOTHERS

The Ga Mantse Palace, Ga Queen Mothers (Manyεmεi) and Asafoianyεmεi have reaffirmed the legitimacy of King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II as the rightful Ga Mantse. Speaking at a press conference, the traditional custodians emphasized that the King’s enstoolment was conducted in full accordance with Ga custom and tradition, and further cemented by legal recognition.

The traditional leaders cited his official gazettement and endorsement under Ghanaian law as undeniable evidence of his legitimacy.

“As custodians of Ga tradition and culture, we declare without hesitation that King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II is the rightful and legitimate Ga Mantse,” the statement read.

The Queen Mothers referenced a troubling chapter in Ga history — the reign of King Tackie Tawiah III, which they described as marred by instability, including the unlawful breach of the Ga Stool Room and the forceful removal of sacred items from the palace. These acts, they said, deeply undermined the traditional structures of Ga leadership.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II’s claim was further solidified by the late Ga Manye, Naa Dedei Omaedru II, who publicly described him as “comely, calm, clever, civilized, and a true Ga Maŋtsɛ.” The leaders stressed that her proclamation held great customary weight and was final in matters of succession.

The leaders called on the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs to stand firmly on the side of truth, justice, and tradition, urging the institution to protect the peace and continuity now being restored under the King’s rule.

“Under King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, we have seen a revival of unity and calm across the Ga State. His leadership has inspired strategic development, cultural renewal, and a deepened sense of Ga identity,” the Asafoianyεmεi added.

In a firm rejection of Adama Latse’s claim to the stool, the traditional leaders demanded an immediate investigation into his alleged fraudulent gazette, which they described as a distortion of customary truth.

The Ga Manyεmεi and Asafoianyεmεi concluded by declaring their unwavering loyalty to King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, emphasizing that the fate of the Ga State depends on upholding tradition, unity, and legitimate leadership.
