Galamsey Report: A Plus Jumps To The Defence Of Gabby Otchere Darko

In the midst of the controversy surrounding Professor Frimpong Boateng’s galamsey report, hiplife music and politician, Kwame A Plus has jumped to the defense of the cousin of the president, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko.

Among a number of senior NPP government officials fingered in the report to be engaged in illegal mining or sabotaging the efforts aimed at fighting the menace, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko was mentioned to be defending a company engaged in illegal activities.

According to Professor Frimpong Boateng, the matter was duly reported to President Akufo-Addo who promised to deal with it but failed to address the situation.

The former Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation further revealed that Gabby on a number of occasions attempted to thwart the efforts of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining when they tried to keep Gabby’s client in check.

But vociferous music and politician, Kwame A Plus has questioned why Gabby as a lawyer cannot represent clients of his choice.

In a social media post, A Plus explained that he cannot fathom why people are finding problems when a law firm established to purposely deal with litigations carry out its mandate.

“I need help please. What has Gabby Otchere Darko done this time? That his law firm rendered services to their clients? Ah but all my lawyer friends in the NDC have been defending/rendering services to fraudsters, armed robbers, rapist etc or? A lawyer or a law firm will render services to the policeman who allegedly fatally shot his mistress in Kumasi recently or? Will that make the lawyer an accomplice? Is that not the job of a lawyer? This one paa diɛ I don’t understand,” parts of A Plus’s post read.

“Like, please ooo, what do you expect a lawyer or a law firm to do? Preach the gospel or organize street carnival? 🤷‍♂️” he quizzed.
