Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) chairman John Kofi Ansah and his Executive Council Members paid a working visit to the newly appointed Sports and Recreation minister Hon. Kofi Adams at his office on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
The courtesy visit aimed to introduce the newly elected GHALCA executives and congratulate Hon. Adams on his recent appointment.
During the meeting, Ansah outlined GHALCA’s upcoming events, including The President Cup, First Lady’s Cup, and Top4.
He also appealed to the minister to lobby parliament for tax rebates on imported sports equipment and reconsider VAT charges on gate proceeds
Hon. Adams appreciated the visit and promised to address the issues raised.
He expressed commitment to working with GHALCA and other stakeholders to rekindle the public’s passion for sports.
Ansah’s visit comes after his decisive victory in the GHALCA elections, where he secured 96 votes against Isaac Wilberforce Koomson’s 35.
As the new chairman, Ansah aims to unite Ghanaian football stakeholders and drive progress in the sport.
