The Ghana Evangelical Society has conveyed a message of hope and peace to Ghanaians ahead of the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.
At a press conference held at the International Press Centre in Accra, the Society emphasized that Ghana is a chosen and elected nation, reconciled and redeemed by God.
According to the Society, “The Most High God is very much interested in the affairs of mother Ghana… Ghana shall NOT return to the control of powers of darkness anymore.” They urged citizens to remain calm and trust in God’s sovereignty, stating, “Peace be unto you, O Ghana. Peace to the nation and goodwill towards all citizens.”
The Society also expressed concern about the Ashanti Region, calling on security agencies to protect the region from those seeking to wreak havoc and disturb the peace.
“Those who think that they can change that which is established have entered into the region with wickedness to destroy lives and property,”they warned.
In a message of assurance, the Society quoted the Bible, saying, “GOD is GOD. He knows and sees it all. He is the eternal God, the beginning and ending. He is sovereign.”
“Ghana shall know peace during the elections and afterwards. Let Ghana be at peace. Her times and seasons of glory are here. There is Hope for Ghana,” they noted.
