“Ghana is ready for its first female President” – Ama Pratt

Ghana is ready for its first female president, Ama Pratt, Press Secretary to the Vice President, has declared.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana, Madam Pratt praised President John Mahama’s leadership, noting that he delivered the nation’s first female Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, a historic milestone for gender representation in Ghana’s highest offices.

“President Mahama has given Ghana its first female Vice President,” she said, adding, “Ghana is ready for a first female President.”

Madam Pratt’s remarks emphasized a growing momentum for women’s participation in politics and reflect the National Democratic Congress’s commitment to inclusivity.

She applauded the president’s decision to appoint a female vice president, emphasizing that it shows women can play central roles in national leadership.
