Ghana, Japan reaffirm commitment to boost economic growth and development

The Vice President of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has received a high-level delegation from Japan led by its Foreign Affairs Minister, Ayano Kunimitsu.

The discussions between the vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and Japan’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ayano Kunimitsu, centered on deepening cooperation in economics, trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange.

The vice president emphasized that Ghana values Japan’s role as a strategic partner and expressed optimism that the collaboration will open doors for more businesses and investments in both countries.

Minister Kunimitsu highlighted Japan’s appreciation for Ghana’s stability and growing economy, assuring that Tokyo will continue to support Ghana’s development agenda through technical assistance, capacity building, and private sector partnerships.

Both sides concluded by pledging to maintain regular engagements to ensure that the partnership continues to deliver tangible benefits for the people of Ghana and Japan.

The meeting was attended by Minister for Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Samson Ahi and other senior government officials.
