Ghana misses out on 2024 BET Awards nominations

Ghana has failed to secure any nominations for the 2024 Black Entertainment Television Awards (BET Awards), which recognize outstanding achievements in the music industry. Last year, Black Sherif made history by winning the Best International Flow award at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2023.

This year, seven Nigerian artists received nominations in various categories, with Ayra Starr leading the pack with three nominations. South African singer Tyla also received four nominations, making her the most nominated African artist.

The BET Awards will take place later this year, with Drake leading the overall nominations with seven nods. Nicki Minaj follows closely with six nominations.
