The Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) recorded a 271.52% increase in its net surplus in 2025, ending the year with GH¢258.30 million, in a sharp improvement in its financial performance.

The authority’s total income also nearly doubled year on year, according to its 2025 financial results.

The figures point to a significant improvement in the authority’s financial position and come as the GSA continues to strengthen its role as the regulator of Ghana’s shipping and logistics industry.

The authority attributed the performance to a sustained focus on efficiency, transparency and improved services for stakeholders across the shipping and logistics sector.

Beyond the increase in its surplus, the results reflect the GSA’s efforts to maintain financial discipline while improving the way it serves businesses and other players within the industry.

The authority said the performance provides a strong foundation for continued growth as it works to enhance its regulatory role and support the development of Ghana’s shipping and logistics sector.

The GSA’s improved financial position comes at a time when the shipping and logistics industry remains central to Ghana’s international trade and the movement of goods into and out of the country.
