The much-anticipated announcement of the new Black Stars head coach will take place today, according to Kofi Adams, the Minister of Sports and Recreation.
Speaking to Channel One TV, Adams confirmed that the process of appointing a new manager for Ghana’s national football team is nearing completion, with only a few final consultations left.
“We’ve come very far in the process,” Adams said. “If everything goes as planned, we will be ready to announce the new Black Stars head coach by Monday, April 13, 2026. The discussions are almost done, and we just need to finalize a few details.”
The announcement comes after months of speculation and careful deliberations by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), who have been working to find a suitable replacement for Otto Addo, the former coach who stepped down after an underwhelming run with the team.
The GFA Executive Committee has been diligently evaluating each potential candidate, weighing their experience and vision for the future of the Black Stars.
This decision is critical for the national team’s future, especially with upcoming challenges, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
