The anticipation for the upcoming Ghana Premier League (GPL) match between Vision FC and Hearts of Oak has just been heightened by a bold wager between Ignite Media’s sports journalist, Gideon Okyere Anim, known commonly as Gattuso, and Vision FC’s Technical Director, Annor Walker.
During the Friday’s edition of Original Sports on Accra-based Original FM/TV, Coach Annor Walker confidently predicted that Vision FC would score two quick goals in the first 25 minutes of the match, promising an exciting, entertaining display for their fans after that.
“Our supporters should come to the stadium early or they will miss the first two goals we will score in the first 25 minutes,” said Coach Annor Walker during the broadcast.
However, Gideon Okyere Anim wasn’t convinced and quickly challenged the prediction. In a bold move, he staked a piece of land on the outcome, daring Coach Walker to back up his claims.
“If your prediction comes true, I’ll give you a piece of land,” said Gideon Okyere Anim, as the conversation took a dramatic turn.
Not to be outdone, Coach Annor Walker raised the stakes, betting his car on the line if his team’s performance fell short of the mark.
“Gideon, I’ll take that piece of land from you if my prediction comes true,” said Coach Walker, adding even more tension to the bet.
“I’ll take your car if you’re wrong,” responded Gattuso, sealing the wager.
The upcoming match will be played on Sunday, April 13, at Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
