GLASGOW 2026: GOC Teams Up with TW Radio

Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games have received a major lift following the announcement of a strategic partnership between the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC)/Commonwealth Sports Ghana and TW Radio 88.9 FM.

The partnership was officially unveiled at a brief but significant ceremony in Accra, marking a key step in strengthening Ghana’s Glasgow 2026 campaign. TW Radio 88.9 FM, a fast-growing sports and entertainment radio station based in Cape Coast, will support the GOC’s efforts as the nation intensifies preparations for elite-level international competition.

Beyond financial considerations, the collaboration represents a shared vision, commitment, and strategic alignment aimed at promoting Ghana’s Commonwealth Games journey while amplifying athlete stories, preparation updates, and national support through consistent media engagement.

The ceremony underscored the importance of strong media partnerships in modern sports development, with both parties expressing optimism about the impact of the alliance on Ghana’s performance and visibility ahead of Glasgow 2026.

In attendance were Ernest Danso, 3rd Vice President of the GOC and Chef de Mission, Rafatu Inusah, Edward Patrick Nii Lante Bannerman, Delphina Quaye—all Board Members of the GOC—as well as Charles Osei Asibey, Director of Communications for the GOC/CSG.

The partnership is expected to play a vital role in rallying national support and sustaining momentum as Ghana targets a strong showing at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
